Franklin Field tickets & upcoming events
Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA, is one of those historic sports venues that just oozes character. It’s got a story that stretches back over a century, and honestly, you can feel the legacy when you step inside. Did you know it was the first stadium to host a live radio broadcast of a football game back in 1922? Crazy, right? And it wasn’t just about football; Franklin Field was also groundbreaking in other ways, like hosting the first NCAA Men’s Pistol Championship in 1965. Plus, it’s famous for its pioneering use of a pylon camera during football telecasts in 1987, giving viewers those wild angles that make you feel right in the action. The stadium’s historic commentary booths have been upgraded but still keep that nostalgic charm. If you’re lucky enough to snag seats in the End Zone, you’ll be right there where the drama unfolds, close enough to feel the adrenaline rush during a last-minute touchdown. Accessibility isn’t an afterthought here either, with designated wheelchair seating making sure everyone can enjoy the game. Just a heads-up, when you’re looking for Franklin Field, use the University of Pennsylvania’s Roberts Proton Therapy Center as your landmark, and keep an eye out for those iconic Penn buildings to find your way. Whether you’re into catching the Penn Quakers in the front row, soaking up the energy at Penn Relays VIP sections, or just hunting for budget-friendly tickets to all kinds of events, Franklin Field has something for every fan. It’s a place where history, innovation, and lively sports culture come together, trust me, you don’t want to miss it.
